Color Twinscope SE Features
- Sunlight viewable wide panoramic color display
- Scans forward vertically, and horizontally
- Immediate depth and range information with unique screen cursor
Ever since Interphase Technologies introduced the Twinscope forward-looking sonar, boaters worldwide have been asking for the added performance of a high-resolution, sunlight viewable TFT color display. Now we are proud to announce these features and much more in the all new Color Twinscope.
The new Color Twinscope SE is more than just a color LCD version of the popular Twinscope unit. While it retains the important features of the original Twinscope, it offers a new design and many added features that make it even more useful for navigation and fishing.
For starters, there's a completely new panoramic color display with a 16:9 aspect ratio adapted from wide-screen TVs and computer monitors. This format allows for improved presentation of split-screen displays, such as when viewing sonar/digital data or traditional depth sounder display with forward-looking sonar simultaneously. With colors directly related to target strength, this display will make target identification easier than ever, whether you're navigating a tricky reef or pinpointing a school of game fish ahead of the boat.
The Color Twinscope SE operates like underwater sonic radar, scanning a moving beam over a 90-degree arc either vertically or horizontally ahead of the boat. In the Forward Vertical scanning mode, this gives the navigator an underwater sonar image of what's ahead from just under the surface to directly below the boat. In the Forward Horizontal scanning mode, the Color Twinscope electronically steers a searchlight-like beam from port to starboard across the bow, picking up targets in the 12-degree beam.
