Shipping Policy

Time to Ship: We will ship your products by the next business day from our Florida warehouse. Please be aware that some products will be drop-shipped from the manufacturer’s facility, and may take an extra business day or two for order processing. Please note that custom-configured products such as alternators, generators and desalinators may take additional time, depending on the configuration desired. If the product you ordered is not in stock, you will be notified of the expected ship date.

Our suppliers are doing their best to keep up with demand. However, some products have been difficult to keep in stock. Our product pages display the typical shipping lead times. If you need your item in a hurry, please contact us before you place your order to confirm availability.

Pick Tickets: We use “Pick Tickets” to designate that your order is in process, and this helps us keep track of which items go with your order. Some orders may have multiple pick tickets, if more than one warehouse is involved. Other orders may not have a pick ticket at all, for items such as downloads. The pick ticket number is meaningless to persons outside our organization.

Shipping Cost: Some of our products may include free shipping within the USA. When we pay for shipping, the carrier and method are at our option. You may select from among several other shipping methods if your needs dictate, however, these services will come at a nominal charge. Our “Real Time” shipping rate calculator automatically calculates the shipping rate from the warehouse to your destination. Orders for multiple items may come from more than one warehouse across the USA. These items may be drop-shipped directly to your shipping address, or consolidated at one location for forwarding. We will choose the most economical method unless you specify a time restriction. We will contact you prior to shipment if there are to be additional shipping charges.

Free Shipping Items: Some items may qualify for free ground shipping. If your order contains both free and paid shipping items, you will have to select a paid service at checkout. We will not charge for ground shipping of the Free Shipping items in your cart.

Carrier Selection: You may select the carrier and service you like when you checkout. However, we reserve the right to choose a comparable service using a different carrier.

Delivery Signature: We reserve the right to collect a signature for proof of delivery. Please don’t ask us to leave packages unattended. If you cannot be available at the time of delivery, consider having the shipment sent to your place of work or a trusted friend or relative. Many carriers also allow for “Hold for Pickup.”

FOB Origin Policy: All products sold by Boundless Outfitters are considered “FOB Origin.” This means that the purchaser of the product(s) is the owner of that product(s) when it ships to the destination address. As the owner of the product(s), it is the purchaser’s responsibility to inspect the product(s) upon delivery, prior to accepting the delivery. Boundless Outfitters and its partners are not responsible for damage that occurs during transport after the product(s) leave the origin warehouse.

Shipping Damage: If the packaging is damaged when your product arrives, please inspect it carefully before the delivery driver leaves. If you suspect that the product inside is damaged, please refuse the shipment. We insure all shipments, but all claims will be denied if the package is signed for.

We know that delivery drivers are always in a hurry to drop and run. If you are unsure of the condition of the contents and the driver is unwilling to wait for you to inspect, please write “UNINSPECTED” in the signature area. This will allow you to inspect at a later time and still have a chance for a damage claim.

International Shipments: We frequently ship products to cruising boaters all over the World. We understand that import duties may be high in some cases. In spite of this, we respectfully ask that customers not request reduced invoice values in an attempt to avoid duties. You would be asking us to commit a crime, and the penalties are terribly painful, including large fines and possible imprisonment. While cruising in some of the most beautiful waters and landscapes on Earth, please respect the local governments’ need to collect taxes that help maintain your reason for being there.

About Boundless Outfitters

Debbie and Tim Allen
Debbie and Tim Allen

Boundless Outfitters was formed out of the desire to provide water and power for remote locations. Whether you are on a yacht or in a mountain cabin, we are your one-stop source for “boundless” water and power!

A few years ago while cruising the Caribbean on our sailboat with our children, we discovered just how important water and power were to us. While our catamaran, “UNBOUND,” had nearly all the comforts of home, we were amazed at just how quickly they were used up! Our fresh water tanks would be drained in a matter of a few days unless we instituted strict rationing. Also, “turn off the inverter!” was the most frequent command! With experience we learned some techniques for conserving water while still washing regularly, such as turning the shower off while soaping up, and carefully rinsing dishes with a trickle from the tap. And we found that using a different voltage regulator helped improve our battery charging effectiveness. However, these measures were not enough for extended cruising in relative comfort.

Our need for a better way to get fresh water was painfully emphasized while visiting George Town, Great Exuma in The Bahamas. Reverse Osmosis (RO) water was generously supplied for free at the Exuma Market dinghy dock, however it had to be carried in jugs back to the boat. This became backbreaking work for a family of five! There had to be a better way…

As far as electricity was concerned, there was just never enough. We carried along laptop computers, which served as our entertainment centers for the cruise. After a year or so, the laptop batteries no longer had the capacity to watch a two-hour movie without being plugged in to an AC power source to recharge. Our inverter was a wonderful tool, and indispensable on a cruising yacht. However, the power drain on our battery banks was significant.

Our charging routine included running the starboard engine twice per day to chill the freezer holding plates and provide hot water. The total time was one and a half to two hours running, which only produced about 80 amp-hours of electric current for the batteries. We needed far more than this to satisfy our power consumption demands. There had to be a better way…

Thus began our search for “boundless” water and power. We asked many cruising friends, consulted magazines, and searched the Internet extensively. It turned out that we needed to use several diverse sources to obtain what we needed, and the effort was extremely time-consuming. There had to be a better way…

Now there is –
