Description
Low-Pressure RO Boost Pump – Johnson Mag-Drive CM10 Series
Low pressure boost pumps are used to maintain positive pressure at the inlet of the high pressure pump. Failure to maintain positive pressure at the inlet of a high pressure plunger pump can cause severe damage to the plungers due to cavitation. At Boundless Outfitters, we have curated a collection of low pressure pumps based on common feed flow rates. This Johnson Pump CM10P7-1 is ideal for 12 volt RO desalinator systems with maximum 0.5 GPM feed pumps and 5/8″ hose. It also works great with Spectra watermakers that are mounted well above the waterline, as in many catamaran installations. We recommend installing this RO boost pump at least one foot below the waterline to avoid inlet cavitation. This pump is not submersible, but can get wet.
Johnson Pump’s CM10 Series pumps are centrifugal magnetic drive pumps ideal for reverse osmosis (RO) feed pump applications.
